Building a credible greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory is the foundation of effective climate reporting and successful third-party assurance. This webinar will provide practical guidance on developing a verification-ready GHG inventory, including defining organizational boundaries, identifying emission sources, applying emission factors, and implementing effective data management practices. Attendees will better understand Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions; source data traceability; materiality and risk assessments; and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes. The session will also explore the differences between limited and reasonable assurance, highlight common verification findings, and share best practices to improve data quality, transparency, and audit readiness. By the end of the webinar, participants will be better equipped to strengthen their GHG reporting programs and prepare for future verification and assurance engagements.
By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
– Build a credible GHG inventory
– Improve data quality and documentation
– Prepare for future verification
