DESCRIPTION:This session explores why local green building certifications are essential for delivering credible\, high-performance buildings across diverse climates\, energy grids\, and construction contexts\, particularly where global frameworks fall short. Participants will receive a high-level overview of certification systems used across the Americas\, the European Union\, and Asia\, and how they are adapted to local conditions. \nThrough practical case studies\, the session shows how local certifications can meet or exceed benchmarks commonly associated with global schemes across key metrics such as energy\, carbon\, and resilience\, while supporting net zero pathways.
